Located in Camden, across the Alabama River from Gee’s Bend, Roland Cooper State Park offers a scenic, pet-friendly stay with a choice of furnished tiny cabins, spacious two-bedroom riverside cabins, RV campsites, and campgrounds. Cabins include full kitchens, linens, central heat and air, outdoor fire pits, and access to the park’s boat launch.
Guests can rent kayaks to explore the river or enjoy the park’s peaceful setting. The journey from Roland Cooper to the community is part of the experience, with a ride on the historic Gee’s Bend Ferry that connects visitors directly to the Bend.
Well-behaved pets are welcome in all cabins for an additional fee.
Liberty Hall Bed & Breakfast

Located near Camden, Liberty Hall offers an intimate stay in one of Alabama’s most beautifully preserved Greek Revival homes. Built in the 1850s and cared for by the same family for five generations, the home features original architectural details, family heirlooms, expansive porches, and peaceful views of the surrounding grounds. Overnight accommodations include six guest rooms, with rates that include a full breakfast served in the historic dining room.
