Gee's Bend Spring Yard Show

Experience Gee’s Bend in a way that’s personal, welcoming, and entirely community-led at the inaugural Gee’s Bend Spring Yard Show. This new open-air event invites visitors to travel along County Road 29, where residents will display quilts and other pieces of Gee’s Bend history and culture in their own yards—creating a one-of-a-kind journey through the community.

With no central hub, the Spring Yard Show encourages exploration at your own pace and offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with the people and stories that make Gee’s Bend so special. Designed as an accessible and affordable way to welcome visitors, this intimate event offers an authentic glimpse into everyday life, creativity, and tradition in the Bend.

A suggested $25 donation helps make the day possible, and advance registration is encouraged.

Registered guests will receive a map of yard locations by email during the week of the event. The first 100 registered attendees will also receive a one-of-a-kind letterpress poster, designed and printed especially for the occasion by Hatch Show Print.
