Mosaic: Gee’s Bend & Greg Lauren

This exhibition featured garments and photographs from Mosaic: Gee’s Bend & Greg Lauren, the collaboration between Gee’s Bend quiltmakers and designer Greg Lauren in 2021. Garments from the project were featured in the exhibition In America: A Lexicon of Fashion at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and worn by Questlove at the Oscars and Met Gala. The essay, Beloved Patches of Orange, by Jonathan Michael Square, assistant professor of Black Visual Culture at Parsons School of Design, accompanied the project.
